@dood111 saidIt was a flat-out attempt to stop or alter the vote to confirm the electoral votes.
I'm saying that a couple hundred people wandering around the Capital building for a couple of hours was not an insurrection. There was no way they could have taken over the country and it's retarded to say that was their goal or that democracy was in danger, etc.
Didn't you hear Trump's speech inciting the crowd to march on the Capitol?
Or are you trying to gloss over that too? Were they "hugging and kissing" the Capitol Police?
Get real.

@dood111 saidThey were chanting about hanging Pence, whilst they violently plundered your main government building.

That is very serious and a very bad fukking sign, my friend.
In most countries a load of politicians would be resigning out of shame. And those who didn’t, but were involved (or defending the assault) would get the bloody book thrown at them. That would be end of careers, prison sentences and God knows what else.
You think any politician who was even remotely involved in the storming of, say, Westminster would be on TV defending those actions? They’d get dragged off air by the scruff of their necks, publically shamed and locked in prison.
The republicans wanting to block an investigation? They’d be unelectable, booted out of their jobs by their own party and imprisoned. If the political party didn’t do that, they’d never be in power again (for at least a generation).
You don’t seem to comprehend that it is not acceptable to any political system to have your government building stormed by whoever.
Threatening the very foundation of the country. Complete madness.
@jimm619 saidOf course he did. 2 peas in a pod. I just can't figure out which one is more stupid. We already know who's the bigger liar, so maybe DeSantis is the dumb one? Maybe he can play the straight guy in that duo.
Trump expressed interest
in DeSantis as VP.
