As Raj must know (let's hope!), T&T is right off the NE coast of Venezuela, and might be used as a staging ground for Trump to invade Venezuela, or at least might be affected one way or another by such an invasion,

but that Raj hasn't had anything to say about that in his chronic, angry spouting-off has me thinking that he doesn't even live on T&T at all.

I've been wondering if you can see any American ships or planes or explosions from there.

It seems that for a 6ft. (1.8m) man standing at sea level (like on the beach waterline), the horizon is 3 miles away. That's it.

The closest distance from Trinidad to Venezuela is 7 miles, and most of what you can see from Trinidad is the Gulf of Peria.

Any invasion of Venezuela would no doubt involve the capital, Caracas, which is over 400 miles to the west (500 by car).

If the US invades Venezuela, kill Maduro and take their oil, that has nothing to do with anyone here. Personally I think thats exactly what they should do. Maduro is a criminal who as destroyed the lives of millions of people and killed hundreds of citizens, stolen assets running into billions of US $$ from US corporations.

Chavez and Maduro are crooks and thieves, and you are a supporter of these crooks and theives. LIke I said, the US should go in there and fix what they should have fixed 20 years ago.

Countries are not free to nationalize in any fashion they choose. The correct way is:
- say thank you to the foreign entity for their service
- work out a reasonable date for their departure
- agree on a just compensation for their assets based on market value.

Any departure from that basic level of decency can lead to war. End of story.

That's still a lot closer than the distance across the Taiwan strait, for instance.

Trump is probably going to fire half of his Cabinet for Christmas, so this would be a good time to apply for a position, if interested. I'm sure that in some cases he's be willing to fast-track the naturalization process.
