The Trump administration doesn’t have many rules, but one of them is that once the president picks a fight, everyone in his circle shows up to support him, no matter how insane.

Look at our vice president doing the lords work trying to be the Pope, rewriting his sermons.

In the same way that it’s important for the vice president of the United States to be careful when I talk about matters of public policy, I think it’s very, very important for the pope to be careful when he talks about matters of theology.

And I think that one of these issues here is that there has been—if you’re going to opine on matters of theology, you’ve got to be careful; you’ve got to make sure it’s anchored in the truth, and that’s one of the things that I try to do, and it’s certainly something I would expect from the clergy, whether they’re Catholic or Protestant.

Lecturing the pope... on theology? The US vice president tells the Pope that theology should be anchored in truth? I'm not sure any statement ever uttered has been more ridiculous, but every day yet another surprise.

Even atheists know that what the Pope says isn't opinion. Pope's preach.

I saw something about the Pope in the news. All I get from him is that he is in favor of Iran who just sentenced a woman to be executed tomorrow. For protesting. So, I care not about your post.
Trump and Vance, great leaders, Leo, not so much

You mean atheists [I guess that includes you], who mostly know nothing of the Bible, know that what the Pope says is the truth. Really!! From what I heard him say, it sounds like cherry-picking nonsense.

In any event the latest is that the US is going to withdraw some or all of their massive contribution to Catholic Church charities, probably in the vicinity of $500 to $600 million (US). Maybe the Pope should hold his tongue and STFU sometimes.

I used the word "preach" which you seem to have ignored.

The Pope should hold his tongue? Yikes.

"Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!" — Isaiah 5:20 (KJV)

Did you see the part where our Defense Secretary quoted a fake bible verse in a speech to promote the Iran war? The "verse" actually came from an action movie directed by Quentin Tarantino. Only in America, right?

Trump, or anyone in his administration, they are NOT Christians; period. The Bible tells us so. They call good evil, and evil good. Among all of their other lies, murders, child molesting, cowardice, etc. Their time is short.

Vance is putting the cart before the horse.

Religion is not anchored in truth. Truth is anchored in God, and the Pope is God’s chosen spokesperson on Earth.

This is not my personal opinion. This has been official doctrine for 2000 years.

You get he is in favour of Iran.

That says really enough about your sources.

I just posted about this in another thread.

I included the video from YouTube.

Frankly, it's embarrassing.

Thank God for Rep. Yassamin Ansari (D - AZ), filing articles of impeachment last week against Hegseth for high crimes and misdemeanors.

Did you see the part yesterday in Cameroon, where the Pope quote Jesus as saying..
" Jesus told us: Blessed are the peacemakers, but woe to those who manipulate religion and the very name of God, for their own military, economic or political gain, dragging that which is sacred into darkness and filth "

The man is not right in his head. The Catholic Church is a corrupt organisation, leading a bunch of sheep to their death.

Isahia was into the plum juice. One wonders how he ever got anything done

At least he's not quoting action movies and saying it's Jesus.

Pope's gotta preach.

Well, they're lazy and incompetent mostly. Maybe they're using AI to write speeches or something. I thought everyone knew that the famous Samuel L. Jackson line in that movie was a made-up bible verse.

The man is a fraud. The entire organisation of which he is head, is corrupt and bordering on Satanic.
