    http://www.cbsnews.com/news/poll-pope-francis-approval-rating-drops-in-u-s/

His approval numbers have plunged from 76% to 59%.

How is this to be explained?

Is this an indication he is on the right path or the wrong path?

Given how conservatives complain about the Pope preaching against greed and giving to the poor like Christ did, I'm sure Jesus'approval ratings would be low with them as well.

The Pope thinks that Jesus wants us to give our money to government so they can redistribute it where they deem best. In addition, the Pope believes that government needs to fix global warming and even restructure the world economies. And lastly, the Pope thinks Jesus wants the Zionists to capitulate to the Palastinians.

Are you a follower of this new left winged Jesus?

Let's do a little poll here are RHP.

In a previous thread Marauder started a thread on the Pope that cast him in a positive light.

Having said that, what does everyone think about how the Pope has handled child rapists in the Catholic church? Apparently the Pope had some stern words about the child rapists and how the church needs to do something about it.

Is that good enough for you or would you actually like to see these priests do jail time?

Matthew 19:21: Jesus answered, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor"

Luke 20:25: he (Jesus) said, “give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar”

Matthew 6:24: [Jesus said] You cannot serve both God and money.

Seems like Jesus was always "left-winged".

To be a leftist Jesus would have had to say:

Don't worry about feeding the poor, let the government do that.

To be right-winged, Jesus would have to say:

"Don't worry about feeding the poor; that's enabling moochers."

    No, right wingers would say:

Feed the hungry yourself. You have money left over since the government isn't taking it all before you get it.

Interesting how you phrased it "feed the hungry yourself", as in *you* do it, not us.

The reason we need government to help take care of the poor, is because they're not getting enough help.

But people are too greedy to help the hungry themselves.

That's why the elect those in government to force them to do the right thing.
