    As a chess player and a musician, I found this link interesting.

    The article suggests that learning at a young age can be a factor. I didn't learn music until I was a teenager yet I am a talented musician. I did learn chess before I was a teenager though.

    At what age did all of you first learn chess?

    7 years old. Learned to play woodwinds in my 30s. A lot better chess player than musician.
