President’s Poll Numbers SKYROCKET

President’s Poll Numbers SKYROCKET

Debates

On the morning of President Trump’s likely impeachment in the House of Representatives, Gallup released a poll showing a six-point jump in the president’s approval rating.

When House Democrats first announced their impeachment efforts in late September, Trump’s approval rating plummeted to just 39%. After weeks of testimony and the House’s decision to draft two articles of impeachment, his approval rating climbed six points to 45%.

Trump’s approval among independent voters grew eight points throughout impeachment from 34% to 42%. The poll, which was conducted from Dec. 2 to Dec. 15, revealed the president has maintained solid support within the Republican Party and has approval from 89% of GOP respondents. However, only 8% of Democratic respondents approved of Trump’s performance in the White House.

Support for impeachment has also dwindled since House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced the proceedings. In October, support for impeachment was at 52%, but that has dropped six points to 46%. Opposition to impeachment has climbed five points from 46% in October to 51% in December.

However, we all realize the polls can be very wrong, or we'd be watching crooked Hillary now, rather than narcissistic Donald.
We will remain divided in this country.

Yes, in one poll he has "skyrocketed" to a minus 6 point disapproval rating. https://news.gallup.com/poll/271691/trump-approval-inches-support-impeachment-dips.aspx

The aggregates still have him at -7.5% (https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/president_trump_job_approval-6179.html) and -8.6% (https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/trump-approval-ratings/).

Skyrocketing may be an overstatement, but it's undisputed that Trump's approval numbers have gone up in the past 6 weeks.

The 538 average has him gaining about 3 points.

I'll take it.... we'll take it.
It's pretty obvious what the game plan was here,, and we remain a country divided, and there seems no end to that..

(Shrug) It has varied in a narrow range for a while though it's bit higher now than usual. Still, a majority have expressed disapproval since March 2017 and he hasn't had a plus approval rating since February 1, 2017 at 538's aggregate.

If it keeps rising then we might have a clear trend.

@Tobias9122
It'l be less divided when we get rid of Trump, Graham Cracker, Moscow Mitch and Jordan.

People like to root for the underdog, and despite the overwhelmingly obvious need to dissolve the Republican Party this can sway woefully uninformed voters somewhat. On the longer term his approval will likely sway back to the 40%-ish where it has been for most of his presidency.

Divided ................................. with a majority believing Trump committed an impeachable offense and a large majority wanting to hear more evidence at the Senate trial including the testimony of administration witnesses that the Donald is blocking.

No, no one really thinks he "committed an impeachable offense", since none were ever proven or specified for all these months by people who hate him. I have NEVER understood why he is hated.

So, if they don't really think as aforesaid, then the reason to impeach him is purely that They Hate Him. That is it in a nutshell. Whoop de do.

More evidence?!?!?? We need more emojis.

I am somewhat aware of the extent of your senility, but you do realize no1 and myself aren't the same person, right?

@AverageJoe1
Ah, you mean like the evidence his high officials could have provided had Chump chosen not to ALLOW them to testify? Or the ZERO amount of documents Chump refused to hand over, saying they get NOTHING.
That alone is obstruction of congress. But of course you think Chump is a king so he can do what he wants. In reality it will be different. I am hoping SCOTUS will force his tax returns to be made at least available to congress like they want. If Chump is innocent there should be no reason for him to stop letting people see his tax returns. I also hope that happens around October of next year......
And around that time when John Bolton's book comes out. Sure to help Chumps election.

Oh, so your post above was incorrect? Imagine my surprise hey? And yes I embrace the capitalist agenda...

The stock market heads to record heights even as the Trump impeachment hearings enter a new phase — here’s why
