I agree with you. But they'll find a way to keep Harry away from IEDs.

Prince Harry it seems will be going over to Iraq with his unit. I think that is remarkable. I wish him godspeed and good luck. I've always liked the dude because he never gets the adoration that his brother gets. He is third in line to the throne but still has the gonads to go to Iraq with his unit. England should be proud of him regardless on how they feel ...[text shortened]... and Congress should send their sons and daughters over there also. Kick some coondingee Harry.

I'd wager he won't ride into battle wearing a crown. I'm sure he'll be covered in sand, mud, dirt, uniform, helmet, etc. - the baddies are going to need a serious mole in the army to get to him.

Now we'll have to wait for the Duchess of Cornwall to join the troops in Iraq.

He is, I assume, a 2nd lieutennant, possible a 1st lieutennant. How many of them do you think get an SAS bodyguard? This is total and utter ****. His uncle was in more danger in the Falklands. He'll be, relatively speaking, just as cossetted as he is over here. Frankly it's just a publicilty campaign, he shouldn't be going to Iraq (I don't accuse him of incompetence btw. I've no idea how effective he is as a soldier), all the soldiers there should all be coming back.

Edit: The SAS body guard is as reported in one of the free London newspapers distributed on the underground, I haven't cross checked.

and that Senator (McCain) should be the next president...

That's what happens to you when you are the love child of Diana and James Hewitt.

But seriously though, maybe its just a belief in their own manifest destiny that is bred into the Royals at a very young age, but I take off my hat to anyone who can blythely go from their balcony of privilege to the possible grey anonymity of death.

Why don't you get real. He is going into a combat zone and has a chance of getting injured or killed. I consider him a brave young man who apparantly has more testicular fortitude than you who all you can do is run off at the mouth behind your keyboard. And you want to call him a spoiled kid posing as a macho man whilst you sit on your arse and do nothing compared to him. Little jealous it seems to me.
