Assuming that I am to any extent still anonymous here:

As for me, I retired about eight years ago, and as time went on I felt more and more that I should keep that to myself, especially when interacting with younger people whose future cannot be guessed.

Anyone else among the seniors who feels the same?

And what do the younger people feel?

(Please don't kill the old people just for having retirement benefits that you might never have. Go after the economic vampires at the top, I say.)

I did my time as an employee according to the rules as written that were in effect at the time I rather grudgingly became an office worker.

It took me a while to arrive at this, but I still think optimism is better than pessimism, even if it seems a foolish optimism with no foundation, and no matter how things eventually turn out.

All we know about you is that you are queer…still trying to figure why you needed to put that out.
