Seems like the conspiracy nuts have reached Germany.
Some even claiming Germany doesn't exist.
Which is ludicrous. I had a schnitzel there, just 4 weeks ago.
And guess what? All these conspiracy theorists... they're all extreme right-wing.
What a coincidence.
What is is with the extreme right that they get sucked into such utter stupidity?
Is it tattoo ink seeping into their brains? Does too much Fox news actually create moronity?
What do you think is going on?
@shavixmir saidThey are all sheep.

They look to their White Jesus to save them from the 'dishonor' of being just a normal person, with only as much voice as anyone else.
@shavixmir
The Russians are meddling in Western nations’ democratic processes, not only in the USA, in part by propagating such bogus theories in order to foment loss of confidence in democracy itself. It’s classic KGB playbook: use the West’s own freedoms ( eg, freedom of speech) against itself.
Be alert. Continuous vigilance is the price of freedom.
@moonbus saidI am not exactly sure why that leads to paranoia and a complete mental breakdown; a drifting, if you will, from reality. And only in the extreme right.

@shavixmir saidAnd it only afflicts a very small minority of the population.

But you know ..... a drop of ink in a glass of water.
@shavixmir saidThere is a solid body of research into conspiracy theories, who falls for them and who propagates them. There is no simple answer, why right-wingers tend to fall for them more than left-wingers, but there are definitely psychological types who are more susceptible. See, for example:

@shavixmir saidMore and more, the "extreme" right seems to be all that exists; the "moderate" right is pretty much extinct in the U.S., and this will probably be the case in the rest of the world.
only in the extreme right.
@Very-Busty
Moderates tend to support the status quo or only very moderate change. However, in times of crisis, no one wants to maintain the status quo, which would mean maintaining the crisis. In such circumstances, extremes tend to flourish, on both ends of the spectrum.
