This is why:

Trumpypants imposes tarriffs on canada
Canada retaliates to defend itself and imposes counter tarriffs
Trumpypants imposes higher tarriffs because Canada defends itself with tarrifs.

In this scenario, Canada is Israel defending itself from an attack from Hamas. The US is Hamas because the US says they are attacking canada again because Canada dared to defend itself.

Yet, the US tells Hamas it must stop attacking Israel. Oh the Irony here is thick.
