I'm taking back my freedom starting today. I ripped out the fire escape on my property. Government is trying to tell me I need one but ITS MY PROPERTY AND I LIVE THERE.
Lots of people die or are injured in fire escape accidents. It's a fact of life that I know the government knows. They are trying to take away my freedom to decide what's a reasonable level of risk for me and my family.
But... I did not stop there. Because freedom isn't just about personal choices, it's about interfering in other peoples lives and jamming my choices down their poor choice-making throats. So I took the mangled fire escape ladder and used it to block traffic. A couple others' followed and now we've made thousands of people late for work. Take that Uncle Sam.
All in the name of freedom.
@contenchess saidI'm not BLM because I only care about my own life. Fire escapes are dangerous. The government's covering it up. The world needs to hear me.
@wildgrass
Another BLM protest blocking traffic?
@wildgrass saidDo my rights, affect your rights?

Know what? In California, you can
get a ticket for running out of gas.
@jimm619 saidThere are probably 800 more things we can name off that are both more intrusive on personal freedoms and more recently adopted by society than vaccine requirements.

Let's pout about vaccines though. Social media told me to.

if they had just manned up, and vaxxed up,
we would be done with this mess by now.
@wildgrass
You mean you are afraid it will fall apart off the wall and kill 5 people when it hits the ground?
@sonhouse saidWhatever. Lots of things can happen. It could land on someone, sure. Also, they come loose off the wall while fleeing a fire, causing death. I don't want any risk of death, so I just got rid of it. It's way safer that way.

Hopefully you're not trying to argue that fire escapes are safe right? Because you'd be embarrassing yourself.
@wildgrass
So what do you do when your house or apartment is on fire and now you have no fire escape and the front door is on fire?
I am not saying they are safe but when you need one.....
@contenchess saidCanadians are wimps. In America we used tear gas on anyone blocking traffic, immediately. That oughta clear those trucks out of there.
@wildgrass
At least it gives us a break from the "white man bad" pouting 😉
@wildgrass saidProblem is (as it is in NZ) more and more the people with the tear gas are waking up and resigning along with those that refused the seizure syrup in the first place.

Leaving just the bullies and thugs.
@wildgrass saiddid you not get the memo? the pandemic is all but over...find some other way to feel powerful
