RNC legal victory clears North Carolina voter roll purge of noncitiznes through jury responses
The Republican National Committee and North Carolina Republican Party say they secured a consent judgment requiring the North Carolina State Board of Elections to use jury-duty records to identify registered voters who have acknowledged they are not U.S. citizens.
Those noncitizens will have to be removed from voter rolls, a significant legal victory in forcing a state to purge its voter rolls amid strong Democrat opposition.

'... amid strong democrat opposition', uh huh.
This reminds me of the case in Michigan where the state RNC had to take the purveyors of the voter rolls
to court to try to force them to take 100,000 dead people out of the voter registry. The Judge ruled in the RNC's
favor but I do not know if the dem-cheaters complied.
proof positive, the democrats are cheater nazis. They will do anything, including ending democracy
in the US of A, in order to gain more power.
Am I living in a bad dream or what?? These cheaters should be in PRISON, for gods'ake.
smellocrats SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK

'... amid strong democrat opposition', uh huh.
The North Carolina State Board of Elections has voted 3–2, along party lines, to adopt permanent rules (08 NCAC 23 .0101–.0104) that will use an unreliable federal database to challenge and remove North Carolinians from the voter rolls.
“This Board was warned in documented and unambiguous terms that these rules would strip lawful citizens of their most fundamental right,” said Brian Kennedy, Senior Policy Analyst.
The rules rely on the federal SAVE (Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements) database as the primary basis for challenging voters’ eligibility, a system the Board itself has previously acknowledged is “not a reliable indicator that a person is not a U.S. citizen.” In Missouri, 70 county clerks told their legislators that the SAVE system is flawed and regularly included “individuals we know to be U.S. citizens — our neighbors, colleagues and even voters we have personally registered at naturalization ceremonies.”
Purging itself is not the problem; it's the flawed way Republicans are willing to go about it.

so there should be an equal number of democrats and republicans being tossed. But that clearly is not the case.
So, can you tell me why the democrats are hippity-hop mad, but the republicans are quite happy with the judgement?
I knew you'd see it my way 🙂
pst: they're virtually all democrats liars
@shavixmir said84% of voting Americans want the system fixed, can you see why?
Since when do modern democracies have this amount of infighting and juditial dispute about elections, the system and what’s going on?
Basically, how is it possible that there are teo different narratives?
If it sounds like a banana, if it looks like a banana… it’s a fvcking banana republic.
The democrats are fighting the fix (save America act) very hard. Can you understand why?
What's happened here in North Carolina and in Michigan is likely happening in many other states.
@vivify saidand YEAH BOY, too.
Why do you still trust a source that had to pay half a billion in damages for being liars?
the fox news coverage is accurate, the judge made the decision in favor of the challenging Republicans.
That will reduce the voter rolls by only a small amount, but it's the thought that counts.
I hope this leads to similar actions taken in many - if not all, other states.

@Earl-of-Trumps saidWhy are Dems upset about using flawed voter roll methods...while election-rigging Republican responsible for Jan 6th aren't?

"“Assertions in the lawsuit that the State Board is refusing to comply with Section 44 of Session Law 2023-140 are categorically false,” elections board spokesman Patrick Gannon wrote in an email to Carolina Journal in August 2024. “We ask that the NCGOP and RNC immediately rescind their press releases on this topic, as they will undermine voter confidence on an entirely false premise.”
Elections board staff “have worked diligently” with Superior Court clerks across the state to comply with the law, Gannon wrote to CJ. Based on information clerks submitted in August 2024, the board identified nine people on voter rolls who were excused from jury duty because they said they were not US citizens.
“If a check of state and federal databases shows any of those nine individuals have not obtained citizenship, the State Board will send them letters informing the registrants of the agency’s findings and invite them, if not U.S. citizens, to cancel their registrations to comply with the law,” Gannon wrote."

It's quite possible that the number of people who identified themselves at some point after receiving a jury summons as noncitizens who are still not citizens now but enrolled to vote is zero in North Carolina.
@Earl-of-Trumps saidNo poll ever said that.

@Earl-of-Trumps saidAnd how do we know these are "non-citizens"? This is, after all, a desperate Trumpublican Party. This could be just another purge of voters of color, like in 2016.

@vivify saidThe only difference between this and 2016 is that Kris Kobach shopped around paper lists of voter names the RNC wanted excised.
