Employee A won't work in the same office as employee B because employee B refuses to get a shot.
Employee C won't work in the same office as employee D because employee D refuses wear a mask or get a shot.
Employee D sues their employer over a company mask mandate, claiming it violates their rights.
Employee E wants to keep working from home, and is unhappy with the employer's directive to return to the office, claiming (legitimately) their productivity is at least as high as when they were in the office, and is now faced with a long a difficult commute.
The combinations are many, but the solutions are rarely simple. So, how does one navigate all this?
Thoughts?
@mchill saidOf course, in the absence of any fed, county, city law about masks ( masks thus elective) the employer/biz makes the rules of his business regarding masks. Do what he says, or get off the premises.

Fed law trumps state which trumps county which trumps city, etc laws. The employer must apply any appropriate mask-law to each set of circumstances.
It all boils down to law. This country is a nation of laws. It seems to be forgotten a lot in today’s environment.

Oh. Paragraph three above. If the employer makes a rule that does not violate any law, he could hardly be sued for making an employee follow company rules.I guess it would remain to be seen what rights this employee thinks are being violated. That’s curious to me.
Paragraph four above. Again, if vompany makes rules that are in line with law, the employee can shape ip to the rules, or ship out. 975,000 new jobs reported today! He can find another. It is not that complicated. Certainly you don’t think the employer has some duty to this casual employee, do you? He is trying to run a company.
