Yeah, it should be just like Shawshank Redemption where the guards can just beat the crap out of prisoners whenever they feel like it.

If you're argument is: Rodney King deserved the beating he received at the hands of L.A.'s finest, then my answer is yes. However, if your argument is: Rodney King deserved the recompense he received from L.A. County for the beating he received by the L.A. police, then my answer is no. Even to this day, motorist Rodney King is a menace to the 'hood. This misanthrope continues to rack up assorted misdemeanors but does no time because the police there don't dare touch him.

If you saying that it was right for him to be beaten, I disagree with that

Regardless off what he has or has not done, the legal process must be followed by the police.

Someone is innocent until provern to be guitly as far as I understand it in US law.

They (police) have no right to go along a despense "justice" they feel is correct.

Thats not acceptable.

He should be been stunned, or controled in some form, taken to the poilice station and charged.

Beating him, lowers the image off the police, provides an excuse for trouble makers and is not accatable in a democratic nation.

The police are can not be allowed to be judge & jury.

Otherwise we move towards a police state

That's the trouble. The Police BELIEVE they are Judge and Jury.

The reason, probably, is that the average policeperson lacks sufficient intelligence to undestand the whole picture. Let's face it, if you want to be a police officer, ipso facto, your intelligence is below average.

Of course, this problem wouldn't have occurred if they'd acted legally and avoided beating him up in the first place. So not only was it wrong, as you've shown it was also counter-productive.

Being a police officer is honest work. You might have a negative opinion of work, but that's no reason to dismiss the attributes and abilities of the people who do this oftentimes dangerous, thankless job.
