its all very proper and respectful, allah reckons that because the wife is not the mans merchandise, sadly, he cant beat her in front of the children, cause bleeding or bruises or break any bones.
i guess chinese burns, water boarding, twisting arms, pinching, sleep deprivation etc are acceptable then
