"Sarah Palin's CPAC Speech Might As Well Be The Next Dr. Seuss Book"
The Huffington Post | by Chris Gentilviso Posted: 03/08/2014 7:26 pm EST Updated: 03/08/2014 7:59 pm EST

"Former GOP vice presidential candidate and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) took full advantage of her CPAC platform on Saturday, rewriting Dr. Seuss' classic "Green Eggs And Ham" with her own version on the Obama presidency. A few minutes into her speech, Palin took out a copy of the book, teasing it as something she would read to her youngest child, Trig Palin.

"Little Trig, lucky little fellow," she said. "His bedtime story goes something like this."

I do not like this, Uncle Sam.
I do not like this healthcare scam.
I do not like these dirty crooks
Or how they cry and cook the books
I do not like when Congress steals
I do not like their crony deals
I do not like 'oh yes, we can'
I do not like this spending spree
We're smart, we know nothing's free
I do not like reporters' smug replies
When I complain about their lies
I do not like this kind of hope
And we won't take it
Nope, nope, nope!

"Sarah Palin Remixed Dr. Seuss In A Speech That Showed She Can Still Thrill The Conservative Base"
Brett LoGiurato Mar. 8, 2014, 7:17 PM

"NATIONAL HARBOR, Md. — Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin riveted a standing-room-only crowd here when she delivered the closing speech of the 2014 Conservative Political Action Conference on Saturday.

Palin offered plenty of "red meat" for the conservative audience to love. She spoke about the recent controversy involving "Duck Dynasty," blasting the "phony outrage" of the proverbial "left." She referred to the left-leaning MSNBC as "MSLSD." And she praised Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, who made the reading of "Green Eggs and Ham" a key moment in his push to defund Obamacare last year.

“Liberty needs a Congress on Cruz control!" she said.

The highlight of Palin's speech came when she held up a copy of Dr. Seuss' "Green Eggs and Ham," offering an interpretation tailored to the Affordable Care Act.

"I do not like this Uncle Sam. I do not like this healthcare scam!" she said to rousing applause.

She said it's the version she reads to her son, Trigg, every night, and gave a "hat tip" to the Internet for the alternative interpretation.

Like last year, Palin's was one of the most well-received of the convention. Some in the crowd began shouting, "Run, Sarah! Run!" She joked that she hadn't gotten a chance to go for a run earlier in the morning.

There was another party thrilled with Palin's speech — the Democratic National Committee. A source told Business Insider the DNC was set to email the entirety of Palin's speech to reporters.

"We hope you enjoy it as much as we did," the DNC said in a statement along with the video."

Sarah Palin is entertaining, and I admit, a looker too! It was a nice speech she gave, perhaps we should examine it closer.

* She wants smaller government, so what's her solution? Run for office and become part of the...government.

* She wants fewer regulations in our lives , except when an impoverished, young pregnant women agonizes over aborting the baby she has no hope of raising properly. Then Sarah wants a lot MORE regulations.

* She backs the idea of using more military force to "get tough' with Americas enemy's, knowing full well it's the children of the working class will fight and die in these conflicts. Not her family, or the family's of her fellow GOP lawmakers.

Yes, Sarah is a cutie, and she is entertaining. I'm also aware that President Obama and those horrible LIBERALS are the incarnation of every possible evil. But I won't back this young lady's elitist and hypocritical polities, while she and her conservative friends stand aloof, watching others die in the wars they start, while trying to wrap themselves in a cloak of christian putity.

Palin thrives in her role as the premier (scripted, not ad-lib) stand-up comedian of the Republican party. She has good writers, and talent in delivery. You can tell she thrives on the positive attention. I don't know if her fans' interests will actually be served by her performances, but I would like to see the Republicans give her a central role in the next national election, to find out. I hope she is a front-runner for the GOP nomination for president, against Perry and Paul.

Every first level politician has pretty good writers. Some have better delivery, and are more likely to attract stragglers or crossover voters. Some convince the undecided, while others are loved by their loyalist, and have no ability to change anyone's minds.

Both Hillary Clinton and Sarah Palin fall into the later category, with Sarah having a slight edge on the former.

Depending on political orientation, almost everyone wants some regulation, except for the distinct minority of pure anarchists. Conservatives generally desire fewer regulations which effect unpopular groups such as the rich, for no particular moral motivation. They generally favor regulations effecting everyone, base on moral principles. I personally favor some morality based rules, and less of those, plus almost no rules favoring specific groups, the poor, gay, married, middle class, etc.

And we won't take it
Nope, nope, nope!

This essentially encapsulates the entirety of contemporary Republican political thought.

Obama had more people in Afghanistan than Bush ever did. The deal toll in Afghanistan during Obama has exceeded that of Bush. Obama has alienated the world with a drone war and surveillance programs. (And embarrassed the United States by letting Vladimir Putin walk him around on a leash for the last nine months.)

What policy would you look at as possible for a party which holds only a majority in the House?

Hahahahahaha!

Come on, you're not serious. Oh... you... are.

The best thing to happen to Hillary would be to run against that idiot Palin.

At least we went to Afghanistan to fight Al Qaeda. We went to Iraq to spank a mediocre dictator for dissing GW's daddy.

You consider anyone who doesn't agree with you and idiot. I see Hillary Clinton as an idiot, and a criminal traitor as well. I guess we disagree. As to oratory, Hillary has no appeal to anyone not already in her camp. That's why a junior Senator beat the pants off her in her last electoral try.

I wonder way almost every Democrat voted for Bush's military advance in Iraq including Hilary Clinton.
