@sonhouse saidI guess IF the bill were to pass and be signed with that provision, it would immediately be declared unconstitutional, null, and void. Poison pill, etc. etc. Start over... 😆

So much for your budget...!
@spruce112358 saidIt would be too late. SCOTUS would be crippled.

@AThousandYoung saidThey are not legislating away SCOTUS, they are legislating away their money. Remember it is congress controls money, who gets what.
Congress cannot legislate away the Judicial branch.
It takes money to enforce contempt or injunctions or court orders because cops have to be paid to serve papers and so forth so without money they are literally crippled in terms of enforcement so that would make Trump KING immediately.
You know good and well without having to obey SCOTUS he would do any cruel thing he wants.
Stop elections, for instance, invoke martial law, use military to quell protests, arrest even more senators and congressmen and sitting mayors and go after media with vengeance. Godda have his 'retribution' against EVERYONE.
@sonhouse saidPeople should take notice of this. No oversight left for Trump if this provision passes.

@AThousandYoung saidthe judicial branch consists of the SCOTUS and lower courts created by congress, not the constitution. Fed judges are created by congress and can be removed by congress.
Congress cannot legislate away the Judicial branch.
The bill does nothing to affect te SCOTUS, only fed judges...(unelected bureaucrats if you will}
@sonhouse saidG'mornin, turkey. If you could please round out your vacuous post, please advise everyone what happens if it does NOT pass. We are talking about major and multiple results, so can you stick to the results....(by that I mean, PLEASE don't mention Trump, as it prompts our delete button). Youare the man!

@AverageJoe1 saidYou really don't understand what happens if money is cut off from SCOTUS and lower courts.

So they issue a court order, the perp says screw your order. HOW DO THEY ENFOCE IT? Call Tulsi Gaggard? Kash Patel? if it was an order against Trump I'm sure they would just jump in and force the court action, right?
Take a guess as to WHY that provision is in that bill. I bet THAT never occurred to you did it?
@sonhouse said? If the Court issues an order, the perp 'says' screw your order as he is punished, fined, or hauled off to jail.

So i miss your point. You write so sarcastically. Try..." If they issue a court order, it is my opinion that it cannot be enforced because...." and take it from there, Sonhouse.
I am being serious here, make your posts more thoughtful so that your following derives meaning for consideration of your posts.
That is, if you were teaching a class, would you get in front of them and say how do they enforce it call Kash Patel?!!?!? That is not a teaching phrase.
@AverageJoe1 saidAre you that stupid you think SCOTUS can get along, enforce ANYTHING with ZERO money to do it?

What do you think, Alito will go, no problem, I'll pay for those cops that need to enforce our orders?
Tell me what YOU think that provision means:
" NO court of the United States may use appropriated funds to enforce a contempt citation for failure to comply with an injunction or temporary restraining order if no security was given when the injunction or order was issued''
I have accused you before of having difficulty with reading comprehension and you claim to be a LAWYER?
I think you must have paid to pass the bar if you indeed actually did that at all.

@sonhouse saidI am not the 'current historian' that you are, but this provision apparently is something new to cure some existing problem? Sounds OK to me, the mi-appropriation of funds. So can you put in plain english what your point is?

My comprehension as you call it is somewhat limited in this matter since I play golf while you and Marauder make a life out of educating yourselves to spar on the Forum. I aint thinkin about delving into the whys and wherefores, and frankly, I have done quite well in debating with you and the crafty Sue, et al , by employing just common sense.
Hey,, I. have preached the basics of Common Sense for years here, note that Trump is now using that phrase quite a lot.
