I can't help but notice the surprisingly high number of games in my active list are just ticking away, my opponent absent or just not moving. Is it winter that does this? Is everyone getting depressed and not seeing a point to pushing pawns?

If it is winter, how legitimate a depression is it? Should people with this supposed disorder be medicated or should they just crank the heat and get over it?

Any comments even remotely related to this rant are welcome. Is the modern world too quick to say "I'm sick"?

I have noticed since the start of the Holidays that my opponents have began to move slower. You could argue the holidays as a reason but not the season as it does'nt take into account the many players here from other hemispheres. But then the holidays are well over and the supposed affliction continues. Maybe it's a matter of dates, and calender interpretation.
