If we can't get rid of the filibuster, then let's make those obstructionist bastards stand for hours on end, blabbing on while pressing issues that affect everyone except themselves and their corporate sponsors continue to pile up, and let's hope they also ruin their health doing it and die early deaths.
The get-rid-of-the-filibuster debate is hysterical.
Every few years, the party in power argues for it. Then the party out of power recycles the same arguments last used by the opposing party a few years back and shouts them from the rooftops.
Then the party in power backs down because they want to preserve it for the next time they're out of power.
And the same lemmings on social media repeat the argument du jour of their party and scream that the other guy (for now) is being anti-democratic.
Pass the popcorn.
@sh76 saidI bet you'd really love a 13 justice Supreme Court.

@averagejoe1 saidSince the Republicans have decided to go "nuclear" on Roe v. Wade, it may be the only option to "keep things as they were". You're damned right it doesn't work any more. Clearly.
Why do libs want to change EVERYthing?!? Why? 9 justices has always worked. It doesn’t work anymore? Libs , tell us why it doesn’t work anymore.
Similarly, the Electoral College needs to go before the Republicans find a way to weaponize that, as they almost did on Jan. 6.

They’re political appointments… passing judgement on laws… created by… the political parties who appointed them…
Complete and utter madness.
At best they should serve a maximum of 10 years.
Life appointments are completely mental.
