I have of course read articles casting doubt upon whether Megrahi was in fact the bomber. I don't know the truth of the matter, however Megrahi was convicted of the murder of 270 people and sent to prison.

When Gordon Brown's government engineered Megrahi's release, they effectively set the tariff for a life of a Lockerbie victim to about 12 days in prison.

I could do with a few months break, and I have a list........

1. It wasn't Gordon Brown's government. It was Scotland's.
2. He was released for humanitarian reasons (whether you like them or not).
3. He wasn't guilty in the first bloody place. The whole trial was a scam.

If you go to jail for killing no-one, you get a division by zero error 🙂 .
Or you could interpret it as infinite jail time per person killed.

Just join the CIA, go to Pakistan, and you might get diplomatic immunity.

Bogus humanitarian reasons.

Are the 30 days he had left to live up yet?

He was sentenced for life imprisonment, actually. So that's an infinite number of days per murder.

Indefinite is not the same as infinite. No one lives forever!

Because he was acquitted of all charges but illegal gun possession.

You're not supposed to go to jail for crimes you're acquitted of.
