the return of STANG

sadly i don't know who stang was, i just hear he was a lovable, adorable teddy-bear.

back to the issue at hand. assuming you are talking about idiots in general,
then no i don't think they should be executed. like it or not, they are part of humanity and by caring for the least strong and useful individuals, we as a race have prospered. this has been so since the dawn of society. killing idiots nazi-style doesn't speak to highly of us as a decent, "lightside of the force" race. not to mention we open up a dangerous precedent. if we kill the persons with IQ 60, what will be next? will we kill the IQ 70 ones? will we kill those who cannot do 30 push-ups in 35 seconds? Will we kill our children if they are born blind like the spartans did? Why stop here? We can even invent new attrocities.

so to sum it up, no.

now if you are referring to bush in particular... well... err... no! must resist the temptation must not hesitate. don't kill him either. it is not his fault he is an idiot, it is not his fault he got elected. it is not his fault he cannot find a coherent sentence with a flashlight(this is the last one i heard about him, it is pretty funny)

Killing people based on an arbritary measure of intelligence? Definitely not.

Personally I think that the fact such discussions take place is a result of problems in the way society is structured.

Is it better for society and the general improvement of humans as a species for so-called celebrities to be adored and paid millions while scientists are, in general, viewed as socially inept and paid relatively little?

Similarly is it a good thing that the intelligent and talented child of a homeless single mother doesn't go to college while the spoilt child of a wealthy businessman does?

If our goal is to improve society then we should seek out the truly talented people, put them in positions where they can make a positive difference and reward them appropriately. Just killing people with a low IQ is not the answer. Neither is continuing to vote for a war-monger who used personal connections and family wealth to obtain power. And if Bush is the lesser of 2 evils (an argument I have heard in the past) then you really have a messed up political system over there.

so if Bush were to actually authorize the use of a nuclear weapon (and one was actually deployed in a combat zone against a military target) would this cause people to love/hate him any more/less?

Remember, he cannot make this decision alone.

Since we're talking about "stupidity" does anyone know the IQ of some of the other world leaders? Or how about whether or not they are "smart" or "stupid"?
