why don't they just fly in circles over the motherland? after a while it'd warm up enough so that they wouldn't have to travel so far for a sun tan.

well my meaningless reaction is to say that i heard recently that airlines are starting to change to slow flights so as to save fuel.
maybe we are in for a new age of solar powered zeppelins

Last I heard (I'm not in Sweden at the moment, and haven't been for some time) then Sweden had managed to reduce their CO2 emissions to below the EU target, so Swedes can go on holiday as much as they please.

Americans, Brits and Chinese all have to stay at home though.
