@jimm619
And deported for trying to house sit in CANADA? Who the hell ARE these agents anyway? So ANY woman is now subject to questioning because she COULD become pregnant and now that she is not, THAT alone is suspicious?
Is the US a country we want to live in anymore?
Oh, wait, I forgot, we are just stupid libs and don't know anything about reality.
Dam, I keep forgetting that.

You don't know, maybe they were curious about the weather in Australia. Hell, I ask the phone gals what the weather is like in Manila all the time because that is where most of them are.

Airport security is always retarded.
Power tripping wannabe super cops.

I try to use the same accent as them to offend them and they hang up quickly.

@Beowulf
Sometimes I answer 'scam likely' calls and tell them to get a real job, they hang up too, don't know whyπŸ™‚

Quoted from the article;

<<
Gourley was flying through the US to Canada on a visa-waiver program. The program allows citizens of certain countries, such as Australia, to travel to the United States for tourism or business for stays of 90 days or less without obtaining a visa.

Gourley was deported to Australia for breaching conditions of the program. A spokesperson for US Customs and Border Protection said the visa-waiver program prohibits applicants from engaging "in any type of employment or get compensation for services rendered." According to the program, house-sitting for free accommodations falls under this rule.>>

A. The woman was transiting through the USA to Canada for cat-sitting, so the rule should not have been applied.

B. Border officials have no call to ask whether a woman is pregnant or recently had an abortion.

Outrageous behavior on the part of US border officials.

You seem to have a problem with the concept that authority always wins.

You need to listen to more John Mellencamp.

There is a way to fight authority, but you can NOT go "toe-to-toe" with them.

How can they stop you from doing business on a business trip?
