HIS mom was born in Slovenia. So if SCOTUS goes YEP, Trump is right, no more birthright citizenship.
But Barron will get REAL special treatment, Nope. B is a citizen no matter WHAT SCOTUS says.
But WAIT. DONALD Trump's MOM was born in Scotland.
So I guess TRUMP will lose HIS citizenship too.
AHH, TOO BAD.
@sonhouse saidBirthright citizenship is in the Constitution. The Supremes aren't likely to make that big a mistake.

@sonhouse saidEven if the SCOTUS were to over-rule the birthright clause of the Constitution (I doubt that it will), it would not revoke the citizenship of anyone. Not unless the court also revoked the prohibition against ex post facto laws. A change would affect only cases going forward in time, not retro-actively.
Yes, but my point was the hypocrisy in this POS "policy" proposal.
If by some weird chance it did go through, you can be sure there will be exceptions for Trumps family.
@moonbus saidDANG. So Trump would keep his citizenship......

@moonbus saidYeah, and the Trump corruption out in the open is breathtaking.
... and after Trump made such a fuss about Obama's birth certificate being a forgery.

Some 3 BILLION already in Trump's bank account selling bitcoins as a sitting president and accepting a near half TRILLION dollar boondoggle jet as a third AF1 which would scrap the two now being built, throw away a couple billion right there BDESIDES the billion plus it will take to refit that gold boondoggle into another AF1, the ones he uses now just don't have enough gold and glitter.
And he gets to keep the jet after he leaves office, assuming he DOES leave office.
His next trick will be to openly defy SCOTUS.
Like he is already doing vis a vie Garcia, held in the El Salvador gulag KNOWING he is totally innocent but doesn't give a rats ass, let the bastard ROT for all I care is his motto.
Historians are ALREADY pronouncing Trump THE worse POTUS in US history.
I hate to see what FUTURE historians will say about this convicted felon AND traitor.
Calling the dictator of Qatar a GREAT leader, the dude who supplied Hamas with near a half BILLION dollars in military aid and he is Trump's best friend.
And the crown prince of Saudi Arabia, not a WORD about the assassination of Khashoggi. And OF COURSE the crown prince is SUCH a great guy too......
America’s Caligula ….
All the blame rests squarely on Mitch McConnell. He had the power and the opportunity to nip this in the bud at the first impeachment. He knew then Trump was a conman and a loose cannon. McConnell was a coward, he flinched. I just hope McConnell lives long enough to rue the day he did not put Pence into the WH. But he's probably too senile to comprehend what is happening.
@moonbus saidYou know I KNEW we were in trouble the next day after Trump's FIRST inauguration:
America’s Caligula ….
His VERY first act back then was an attempt, which failed BTW, to kill the senate ETHICS committee.
That told the whole tale of the Trump office for me and it is ten times worse this time. Impeached twice, 34 times convicted felon, some half a dozen bankruptcies, he can't even keep a CASINO in the black and then there was the Trump so called
University and Trump so called charity, proven in court as pure fraud, screwing children just trying to get an education and folks thinking they were donating to a real cause.
The cause in this case, of course, Donald Trump and fined 25 MILLION AND his two pet grifts shut down.
Then there was the 90 odd million dollar settlement for defamation and the near half billion dollar fine for the Stormy deal.
He got out of that one OF COURSE.
It seems everything he touches DIES.
I have to stop here before I start PUKING.
@sonhouse saidI know it is small consolation to the families he already destroyed with his mismanaged COVID -lack-of-policy, but future historians will vilify him, for that if nothing else. It may take another generation, but the truth will out.

@moonbus saidSo is the tea party, fox viewing, maga base that scary, that if conservatives don't bend the knee to Trump, that's it for their political careers?

@kmax87 saidI think there is a plan for that. So next year when elections come up, Trump would not want to lose his sycophants so when the protests get really large, like million size, he invokes martial law, brings out the military under emergency war acts and says, no vote maybe for a few decades... For I am the only one who can save the country.
So is the tea party, fox viewing, maga base that scary, that if conservatives don't bend the knee to Trump, that's it for their political careers?
I hope people have figured out that is a distinct possibility.
@kmax87 saidThe demographics have shifted since Reagan/Bush; Republicans are appealing to a different clientele than 35 years ago.

Lisa Murkowski of AK has shown some backbone, but most Republicans caved to the demagogue, and the few who stood up to the dummy, such as Liz Cheney, were drummed out.
