In NYC a majority voted for an anti-Semitic communist who has never run a dog house. Young people who voted for him seem to have never taken an econ nor a history course, and seem to have no idea why socialism never has worked. They do not understand anything about how private sector investment works. If rents were frozen, who do they think is going to pay for maintaining units and who is going to build a new residential building. The housing stock will deteriorate and no new units will get built. He has no authority to raise taxes and Hochul has said no new taxes. We will see if she sticks with it. The top 1% pays 48% of the taxes. Many are leaving now. There will be no money. He refuses to hire more cops. He wants to send social workers into violent situations instead of trained cops. Let’s see how long it takes for some to get killed. He wants to close jails and make prostitution legal. The MTA is an independent agency and has made it clear it has no intention to give up $800 million of revenue in a system that is sorely in need of major repairs. Those are just the start. NYC will deteriorate into a third world horror like it was under Dinkins and DeBlasio. The financial community is already moving to Miami and Texas.
Can anyone write like a human on this? Did you see the cartoon at first of the video with his only qualification shown a man? He has no collegial demeanor, he will not be able to deal with anyone on a high level. An anti-semite, he has nothing to go on. When he does no get his taxes raised, will he go childlike? I can't wait for the show, but pity the city.

This spending is not reliant upon supply and demand as the demand is arbitrarily set by a government put in place by lobbyists for the military. There is no choice about this as both parties are subject to lobbying of this kind. Got 1000 nuclear weapons who cares? Let's get another 1000! This is socialism pure and simple, with propaganda obfuscating this fact. Eisenhower warned of this decades ago.
Also bailing out banks in 2008 with public money was the largest single act of socialism in history and will eventually collapse the economy.
Strange that these two blatant acts of socialism avoid scrutiny, I wonder why?
