I've been reading the debate threads and have seen quite a few posts from STANG, all of them anti-American or anti-Bush. While I do agree with him that Bush is a liar, yadda yadda yadda... But I live here and I voted against both Bushs. Even though I am strongly opposed to most of Bush's policies, not just foriegn but domestic aswell, I don't obsess over it like STANG does. So I've been thinking a bit about it and have come up with a couple of reasons.
1) Big stick envy - he seems to be obsessed with the US military and what role it should take in all world events.
2) Nation envy - I don't know where he's from, but in his What Is The US's Role In The Future thread he doesn't say where he believes his nation will be or what role they will play in the future. Usually when you are so obsessed with something it is because deep down inside you are jealous of what they have.
What do you think?

A quick questions for the Aussies - do you all refer to Americans as Sessos?
And the US as a sesspool?
Not obsessive. Just persistent.
By the way, in an obviously hypothetical situation where Bin Laden was believed to be hiding out in America, how many innocent Americans would America be prepared to kill as collateral damage in the process of getting him. Would it be similar to over 100,000 Iraqi's America killed to get Saddam Hussein ?
Originally posted by STANGYour preaching to the choir when you talk about Iraq. I'm not a Bush supporter, I'm an American. But to answer your question, I doubt there would be any collateral damage as 99% of Americans would have Bin Ladens a$$ on a platter as soon he was seen. Even those of us that oppose the war would have no problem with seeing a little vigalante justice. Remember, we are nation of gun owners.

We are not at war with america. We are at war with the enemy which is Iraq and any/all "states" that support terror. They are the ones who supported the totalitarian leader. So you say that we killed a hundred thouand "innocents". I doubt that. But even if true... War is Hell.
We will not willingly see a single american dead to get Bin Laden. But we will kill as many of the enemy as needs be.
Obviously.

Sorry. If you think of the US as police... you are wrong. We are just at war with a few that we don't like.
None of your business really. None of your problem either. Your hatred is spawned by your own helpless state. You can't lash out at yourself, so you blame the US. Until you figure out your own feelings of "powerless" manipulation... you will never overcome this substitute hatred you have established.
If I were you I would examine your relationship to your father. They are the ones in life who tend to render kids "helpless" and desperate to hate.
