They have to be under the care of a doctor, even if they've been on disability for years. Republicans are all about making it super difficult to get benefits. And Congress doesn't give a rat's ass, because they all have TriCare which is among the best insurance military and high ranking government employees can get. My mom has TriCare as a survivor of my dad who was an officer in the US Navy. That thankfully pays the majority of her Alzheimer's care.

It is shameful to me how the American people have injected Donald Trump into the same revered club as FDR.

As an aside, I'd rank FDR as #2 in a top five presidents list, right behind Lincoln. Washington is #3, just for his refusal to be crowned King. I'd have to think about #4 and #5.

I just heard there was a warning at something like 1 AM or PM not sure and unheeded and at 5 pm still no warning issued so they may HAVE had a warning but accidently forgot to pass the word.

Well, obviously, if you fire all the waste and fraud investigators, there won't be any more bad news about waste and fraud in government. It's the same playbook as when the COVID pandemic hit: the test results were making Trump look bad, so he directed clinics to stop testing--hey presto, the stats suddenly looked better! That's why he's also directing NASA to stop monitoring climate change.
