I hope your dog chokes and some good comes out of it.

what kind of proof do you need? See people like you have already formed your opinions (based on your agenda), and you use your opinions to draw your conclusions and facts. I mean we are trying to hunt down and kill those that wish us harm, but if it was up to you our ability to do that would be eliminated. You have to get out of your theoretical world ("who is the real threat to the people in Pakistan"😉 and enter the real life world. There is a threat and they will do harm unless you stop them. The facts that I read tell me there was intellegence that had top leve terrorist at a location which seems to be supported now (even though the main target did not show up). Bottom line unless the U.S. is proactive we will be hit again. As far as any non-terrorist that may of been killed, that would be regretable, but you don't know for a fact that is true. I'm sure you probably would like them to be innocent by standers because that would give you more ammo to attack the government with, but the fact is you don't know who they were.

Your shoot first, ask who you shot later, is exactly why these people hate us.

I'm not anti american either. I just think that the present Administration is run by a complete idiot who is surrounded by a bunch of right-wing war mongers provided they can make a buck out of sending young american patriotic guys and girls (whom i hold in high esteem) to their deaths. You think post-iraq invasion $65 a barrel oil isn't making some people rich, whilst you pay more for gas in the US than you ever have before? Get real, that money is going somewhere - it's not coincidence.

So lets make you president...President Cliff...., you get intellegence that puts top level terrorist(s) at a location and you have the chance to kill them WHAT DO YOU DO? Do you do nothing and let them escape to plan further attacks which you know they are doing? Maybe you hire a Pakistani to run through the village with a bull horn yelling "The americans will bomb in exactly 1 hour!" with a final countdown starting at 1 min so every one will know to get out. If you have all the answers WHAT DO YOU DO?
P.S. just because you are american does not mean you cannot make anti-american statements.
Originally posted by NimzovichLarsenOkay, I'm president and I get intelligence that says top al Queda operatives are in a village in Pakistan. I send in one of many highly trained Special Forces teams to take out, or even better, capture the al Queda top men. Knowing that an air strike will kill non-combatant civilians I shelf that option, because I also know that killing non-combatant civilians creates more terrorist and combatants. Do you think the surviving families of the civilians killed are now big supporters of the US.

Anti-American is saying that if your opinion differs from the governments you are anti-American. You probably think that domestic spying on Americans is a very pro-American activity. Like I said before, I am not anti-American, I just don't believe in the moronic, my country right or wrong. I am man enough to admit when I do something wrong and I expect the same from my elected officials.
Originally posted by NimzovichLarsenThere is a difference between disagreeing with Al Quaeda or Saddam and invading Iraq (with resulting deaths of up to 100,000 people).
there is a diff. between disagreeing with bush and saying american is bad, and is america is too blame. Thanks, though, for your 1.5 cents Stang.
Originally posted by CliffLandinby the time your special forces get there they will be gone, it's not like you have special forecs covering ever square inch of the country. and you don't know anything about the others killed so quit making them out to be poor innocent do gooders. and again you must get out of theory....we dont worry about what people there will think after we take necessary proactive measures to fight terrorist. If you were in charge of fighting terrorism we would lose, plain and simple. America would be in greater danger by letting terrorists go due to fear of collateral damage; which by the way you and I are not really sure of the extent of.
