I never have really gone to Subway, but i saw the commercial with the new meatball sandwich they have and I decided to try it. I must say it was excellent.

However, hanging around the store were all these newspaper clippings or stories of people who lost weight by eating two subs a day. I'm not worried about it, I'm 6'2 and at a good healthy 220 and exercise regularly on the same routines trainers taught me in my baseball career. But if I do become a cow someday I don't know if I would try and lose weight by cramming down subs all day

How in the world can people lose all this weight eating subs. It says they exercised regularly also, but man, that meatball sub filled me up. The only thing I know about Subway is that fat Jarod lost a billion pounds and makes alot of money on boring commercials, and that Happy Gilmore had Subway as his sponsor.

Do you think people can lose weight on this so called Subway Diet by eating two subs a day?

One problem I see with that is you would not be getting a balanced diet. I would think it would be stacked in favor of carbs and proteins and low on minerals, vitamins, veggy fiber and such. Look what happened in the movie 'super size me'.

Well, as i understand it, good 'ol fat Jarod ate only six inch subs and did not use cheese or mayo. Also, subway recomends that you eat only from the "healthy" menus which icludes the more boring subs with 6 grams of fat or less. Your meatball sub need not apply! 😉

I have no idea whether it works or not. What I do know is that many of these fad diets that do seem to work only work because they disguise the one thing you really need to do (from a diet perspective) to lose weight...NOT EAT SO DAMN MUCH!

Having seen Jarod before his diet started I can gurantee he was putting away more than six inches of sub sandwich everytime he sat down for a meal.

I used to work at a Subway. The funniest thing that I have ever heard was someone calling and asking what that fat ass ate. You know ever Subway employee has to read his biography...

Another funny thing is that people would order a low calorie sub and, I swear to God that I;m not making this up, would ask for extra (sometimes extra extra) mayo. No wonder they're tipping the scales at around 300 lbs (roughly 132 kg for our foreign friends).

I'm not exactly a skinny guy at around 170 lbs but I'm not fat either although I do have a gut from beer. And I came up with a simple solution, if you want to lose weight, put down the f***ing fork and go exercise.

If Happy Gilmore liked it, it has to be good
