I have never actually seen any democrats arguing for more government control. That is a myth perpetuated by the republicans (who actually want more government control, but pretend they don't).
In fact the 'less God' bit is actually an example of Democrats wanting less government intervention in the form of theocracy - whereas the republicans would love to push their religion through government.

I listened to a Gary Johnson ad the other day on the radio. He said, "I can predict what the next 8 years will bring. We will have bigger government, much more debt, and a shrinking Middle Class. Why? Because this has been the pattern of the 2 party system".
Nuff said.
As for God, I'm not sure how either party really gives a damn.
