Research from the Penn Wharton Budget Model and other studies have estimated that every ICE deportation costs somewhere in the range of $30,591 to $109,880, with an average of roughly $70,236.
That's not even including the thousands of lawsuits pending from instances in which ICE is detaining citizens for weeks against their will. I can't even guess what the Pretti and Good families are going to get out of their settlements.
It'd be cheaper and less hassle just to pay them to leave.
