As tanks roll into the streets of Syria and citizens are massacred, what exactly is the difference between Libya and Syra again except for the fact that the UN stops one but not the other?

Does anyone else want to take a stab at FMF's cryptic response?

here is the front page of the bbc world page... take into account of what has been happening in syria in the past few days and consider it taking place in lets say, france. do you think you would see the same small headlined article?
same goes for their news broadcasts, it gets 'a mention' after the first couple 'headlines' of the day and barely goes into any detail when they do start talking about it.

Nope. I am not going to indulge you.

On broadcasts/podcasts such as The World Tonight, Newshour, Global News, From Our Own Correspondent, Today, and others, Syria has been one of the top stories time and time again, with long interviews, the works. I am oftentimes a critic of the BBC myself, but 'they have ignored Syria' is not a criticism I can endorse.
Just what the hell are we doing in Libyia anyway? Paying 75% of the costs is what I see. Bail out, move closer to Syria, and lob 18 cruise missle their way, and cruise out into the Atlantic.
Say how does a cruise missle descriminate between a civilain and a Qaddafi soldier anyway... those people will probably be protesting the USA within 3 years anyway....
