@wildgrass saidTrump doesn't do policy. He's transactional--just look at the Strait: open today, closed tomorrow, blockaded today, ceasefire tomorrow, obliterated their nuclear capacity yesterday, demanding their uranium today .... wanna know what he'll do next week? Consult the feeling in his bone spurs.
This is an explanation of every trump administration policy.
@sh76 saidOne year I was assessed, after an audit, with owing the tax man more money. I paid it but asked for another look by the auditors as it seemed a bit large. They did so and agreed that I had been over charged by “bit”. They gave me back a certain amount (the difference after going over it again) and actually added interest. I was very surprised.😲
Do you get interest on your tax refunds?
@moonbus saidWe spent a long time in this forum trying to tell the Trumpers here that there was no "landslide" and they didn't even win a "majority" and there was no "mandate".
Not all of the public wanted him. In fact, more than 50% of the voters did not vote for him.
They still insist there was, especially head Trumper, AvJoe.
@Suzianne saidPolitics is war by other means; truth is the first casualty in war.

In America, we'd probably get hit with a penalty for 'questioning authority'. That's just how Bessent rolls these days, on his knees to Trump.
As far as my taxes, I got refunds from Fed and state, but I didn't file until April 14th because I couldn't find my tax software where I normally get it. Kinda like Trump wanting to remove mail-in voting.
Like, "You HAVE to file, but we won't make it easy...", along with "And remember, you don't even HAVE to vote."
Damned fascists.
@moonbus saidThat would be awesome. It would mean I'd have (at least) $166 billion.
How would you feel about giving the goobermint a non-voluntary interest-free loan of 166 billion dollars, which will be repaid, late, in inflation-devalued currency, while the price of gasoline goes up at the pump daily?
What the heck. I'm not greedy. I'll settle for $166 million.
@AThousandYoung saidI'd settle for having the borrowing power to borrow that kind of money.
No, you'd have to borrow it. Welcome to student loan Hell
I have three words for you.
