Laugh out loud funny. These public demonstrations can't happen without government sanction, looks like the lady isn't off the hook yet. Perhaps they got upset when she announced she wanted to contest the verdict and fight deportation?

Seriously though, The Sudanese government stirs things up in the "street" so they can position themselves as moderate. Being seen as moderate in the eyes of the west is critical if they are to keep western peacekeepers out of Darfur. Something they are, so far anyway, hell bent on doing.

Those Westerners who choose to go to live in such benighted lands as Saudi Arabia,Iran, or Sudan, must be made to realise that the choice is theirs and that unless they are prepared to accept the beliefs and morals of the Dark Ages they should not do so.

If they do they should not expect their home governments to bail them out when they inevitably fall foul of the primitive laws enforced there. The days of 'gun-bost diplomacy' are unfortunately over.
