Is becoming overwhelmingly out of reach for many people. I'm sick of the DSR-republican saying:

"But if you work hard you can have lot's of money too". Mr Walton the guy who founded WalMart worked really hard and got billions for it. Then the old guy hit the bucket and his spawn children inherited billions of dollars. What exactly did they do, besides being born from the right penis?
Capitalism is nothing more than a vegas casino: a few very rich winners but a vast majority of losers. 95% of people are EXPLOITED IN THIS COUNTRY. Low wages, horrible health insurance...What a cutthroat system, no wonder so many american's are depressed, is it any wonder suicide rates have gone up in this country? In this crappy system none of us (except the rich) are assured even a roof over our heads, that's a privilege! You all complain of welfare/robbery/violence. Where do those come from? A lot of it comes from the class struggle! Starving everyday, what else can the poor do? The top 1% of this country own 38% of the wealth.

So much for your "AMERICAN DREAM". what a bunch of s***

Efficiency and progress is ours once more
Now that we have the neutron bomb
Its nice and quick and clean and gets things done
Away with excess enemy
But no less value to property
No sense in war but perfect sense at home

The sun beams down on a brand new day
No more welfare tax to pay
Unsightly slums gone up in flashing light
Jobless millions whisked away
At last we have more room to play
All systems go to kill the poor tonight

Gonna
Kill kill kill kill kill the poortonight

Behold the sparkle of champagne
The crime rates gone
Feel free again
O lifes a dream with you, miss lily white
Jane fonda on the screen today
Convinced the liberals its okay
So lets get dressed and dance away the night

While they
Kill kill kill kill kill the poortonight

Tell that to India. At least they know how to use their poor efficiently.
The poor are divinely chosen as society's cannon fodder, building blocks if you prefer.

Back in my homeland you can still trade 3 beaver pelts for a small Indian child. Most Indian children are suprisingly resiliant and can carry upwards of a 70lb pack and they'll eat the same food as the sled dogs. For that matter, should you run out of dog food... well, Indian children go missing all the time.

Instead of complaining about how miserable your situation is because the world doesn't recognize your genius and reward you accordingly, perhaps you should role up your sleeves and get to work? Or better yet, just reflect for a moment upon how lucky you are to live in America and not some Third World hell hole where there is no potable water, insufficient food, no paved roads, no indoor plumbing, kleptocratic rulers, civil war, religious strife, epidemics, etc.

Rec'd

Even if there was a point to the OP there would be nothing gained by whining about it.

When (or if) you finish college, do us a big favor, join the Peace Corps. You will learn more than you'll teach. Time spent in third world countries will give you a new perspective on the world, and how its run. This is all cute words & discussions until you realize from the other side of the fence what you had.

Elite justification for holding the majority of the worlds wealth. Easy for you to say.

If you think there is a problem then do something instead of whining about it in a debate forum on a chess site.

latin american style? what the hell?

It doesn't work, these revolutions only cause more bloodshed.

By the way, we never had peasant revolutions in my country, and thats probably why we're doing better than our neighbors.

As far as I'm aware the 'American dream' has nothing to do with fairness. The dream is to start with nothing and work hard until you've got everything.

I don't think theres anything in it about helping other people, other than managing to become rich while still having your dignity and honesty intact.

The reason we hold it is because we earned it. Contrary to what your sociology professors are teaching you, "work" is not a four-letter word.
