The Article V amendment

I've posted about this time and again, but the need for it still has not sunk in as yet.

All we see is post after post about how Trump is corrupt, but no real solution as to what to do about it other than vote "D". It is almost as if you have a monolithic party out there who is righteous and will usher in a utopia for us all, when we all know they are just as corrupt if not more as we look at political history and what is there now. Be honest now if you are a partisan shill democrat. I'm at least 1/1024 right, right?

If the issue is corruption, then that corruption needs to be addressed. If the democrats are correct, Trump is a Russian agent who is wreaking havoc and destroying the Republic, then he needs to be removed. Yet they do nothing other than bitch and moan. They won't even so much impeach him in the House even though they have the full power to do so, and promised to do so and all for what they say are political reasons. It is because they say they fear it will have the same effect it had on Clinton as the House impeached him. If so, they are essentially shirking their duties all based upon fear of "doing the right thing" that might hurt them politically. Well why are they there at all then? Why not just cower under a rock somewhere and shut the hell up?

The issue is that power corrupts, so the power at the top is the problem. There are no longer checks and balances as the President seemingly can do as he or she likes with impunity. And don't look to Congress, for they have ceded over much power to the Executive Branch to the point of almost destroying the need to even have them exist as regulators within the Executive Branch now pass regulations which are just as good as laws Congress passes, only, these bureaucrats are not elected and rule with an iron fist.

So states must now rise up and take back much of that power. Term limits for an ineffective Congress who routinely has approval ratings under 20% yet keep getting reelected anyway needs term limits. Also, the nation needs some sort of balanced budget to start to reel in all the power the federal government has with unlimited spending ability. These two issues alone are supported by about 80% of the public, yet they will never see the light of day without an Article V movement. States rising up to amend the Constitution has never been done, yet it was placed there by the Framers in case the federal government became too large and powerful and corrupt. At no other time in history has this Constitutional amendment been needed as it is now. IF Trump really is Hitler democrats, stop protesting on the streets to give him your guns and rise up and grow a pair and support the Article V amendment.

As for the GOP, it is only a matter of time when the DNC will take power and will probably do far worse than Trump is doing now. The system seemingly runs more on precedent than the Constitution these days, and as such as each subsequent President exercises unconstitutional power it becomes normalized, which is what seems to happen with each subsequent President.

If not, things will only get worse as the Republic will soon cease to be.

The Article V amendment, if used properly, will return power back to the states like it was intended by the Founders. This is the only way to stop the country from splitting in two with one half of the country with their heels over their heads in a prone position for awaiting socialism, and the other half horrified at the prospect knowing the history of failed socialist regimes.

This way conservative states and looney left states can run their own affairs, such as education, health care, etc. This way half the country won't want to secede every Presidential election cycle and states can then be compared to see which governing styles work the best and which don't rather than putting all our eggs in one basket win/lose/draw.

I do realize that the Left is opposed in large measure to this because being a Leftists means you want a centralized dictatorial government that rules with an iron fist. Moreover, the US has moved in this direction ever since the dawn of the Progressive era with minimal resistance, so why change course now? They also view the Article V movement with suspicion since the movement has been championed by many on the "right".

So be it, so if your reject this solution, what is yours other than a one party rule of the nation that never allows another Republican to see the light of day?

This is the only solution! And, big corporations, Trump, Republicans, and many corrupt democrats, have made this the only solution. All because of their unethical greed and need for power and control over others, and money. Lot's of money.
