This $24 billion is money belonging to Iran. These assets were frozen by the US Government (I cannot find any info on how long these assets have been frozen). They are getting only half of it until it can be verified they are following the agreement. (Who verifies if the US is following the agreement?) Still, that is $12 billion.
Compare this to the $1.7 billion Obama sent to Iran when the JPCOA was agreed to. That was Iran's money also. This, at the time, was referred to by conservative pundits at the time as "pallets and pallets of cash" they said Obama was using to pay them off.
And now Trump is sending them $12 billion in cash soon to be followed by another $12 billion in cash.
I wonder what the hypocritical bastards in MAGA will say to this? What's good for the goose is good for the gander, no?
