If movies like Lord of the Rings: Return of the King can win best picture, I have trouble seeing why it wouldn't be Oscar material.

It was a good well-rounded film - good acting, good plot, good music, good script. But nothing really stood out to me as exceptional. I wouldn't rank it among the best I've ever seen.

It was really good. Surprsingly funny. The anticpation leading to the final scene got to be quite strong.

I saw 7 or 8 of the nominees and frankly found the weakest of them to be the Facebook movie.

And I too will eat popcorn when I take my grandaughters.

My favorite movie of the year was Restrepo, followed by Lebanon.

Egads, the Ring Trilogy. I got to absolutely hate those whiney hobbits and wish they would have jumped off a cliff or got eaten up.
