"IF I WERE PRESIDENT, THE RUSSIA/UKRAINE WAR WOULD NEVER HAVE HAPPENED, BUT EVEN NOW, IF PRESIDENT, I WOULD BE ABLE TO NEGOTIATE AN END TO THIS HORRIBLE AND RAPIDLY ESCALATING WAR WITHIN 24 HOURS," Donald Trump - Jan 2023.

7 months into Trump's 2nd term the war drags on and the casualties on both sides continue to mount. Trump and Putin are now meeting in Alaska to "feel each other out"

This has to be the longest 24 hours in history.

Another in the long list of broken promises made by Trump to the MAGA base.

But we don't want this to end with the ultimate cost being giving Putin the entire country. Neither does Zelenskyy.

What a great disappointment has been Trump. None of us see anything worth anything that he has done. What should be done? Just leave him to his do-nothing wasting air?
Replace him with a friendly coup? With VP Vance at the helm, would it get any better ? Get more govt to settle Everything down?

Trump is a braggart. He has nowhere near the traction with Putin he thinks he has, and threatening Putin with 'severe consequences' is not how one conducts a negotiation to end a hot shooting war. Trump is a know-nothing amateur at diplomacy; it is nothing like defrauding a bank into giving him a 100-mio loan to put up another Whites-only high-rise apartment block. Trump always pokers on selling his 'brand' to banks ('I'm too big for you to let me fail' )--it won't work on Putin. Putin has no interest whatever in whether Trump gets his Peace Prize. Nothing but bland words of re-assurance ('we had a serious discussion' ) will come of this meeting in Alaska.
