There are extremes in any religion, those who are so zealous they miss the point completely. Look at the crusades for example. Look at the modern suicide bomber, or an abortion clinic bomber. They are so wrapped up in the "religion", they totally miss the spirituallity that comes from it. If these people are truly belivers, they would accept people for who they are, not hate them. As a matter of fact, I think Jesus himself said "Let he who has no sin cast the first stone...", and I doubt anyone among us is sinless...
