@Duchess64
You see crime explode during emergencies so this should be no different. People were breaking into stores stealing everything they could carry during the hurricane in New Orleans a few years ago. Blatantly breaking in.

Domestic violence cases have surged, the suicide hotlines are receiving record numbers of calls, and this is only April 1!

What the US (and others) are doing to fight CV is like using radiation and chemo to eradicate cancer. There are the rather harsh side effects.

Here in the states it's great!

No lines at stores and no traffic. It's just you and 500 highway patrolman ready to pull you over for speeding. Then when they pull you over and you roll down the window you just start coughing uncontrollably.

I had no idea they could run that fast.

Seemingly the crime in New Orleans after the hurricane wasn’t as bad as reported.
The media fixated on it.

However, there was an awful lot of altruism floating around as well.

Oh, I should be a poet!

@whodey
I've said it before, you SUCK at comedy. Try telling the TRUTH for once in your pathetic life.

What are the social consequences of lockdowns and self-isolating?

From what I can tell from my friends and former classmates, some new recipes are being tried in the kitchen, spring house cleaning will happen, some yard work done. I've entered another RHP tournament, finished my 3 mi. walk on our country road and now halfway through Susan Polgar's tactics book. My wife does Yoga, reads, and is currently weeding around the culinary herbs.

Pretty traumatic stuff in our neck of the woods. 😏

This is for Sonhouse, my adoring fan.

That's nothing.

Every time I come home my dog, who is sick to death of me being home all the time, I find drunk and ends up beating the hell out of me. And it is a female dog.

Go figure.
