Businesses pay countless billions in taxes, employee millions of people and are denied the right to vote. People on welfare produce next to nothing. Government should spend more time meeting the needs of its productive assets and not just worry about its biggest failures.

Hard working people do well here, and has always been the case.

Lazy no account people do not succeed here, and never will.

Social mobility figures suggest that it is much easier for someone of modest means to "succeed" (i.e. obtain a relatively high income) in e.g. Northern Europe than in the US. Should one conclude from these figures that Americans are just naturally lazier than Northern Europeans?

Well, you're half right. A strong work ethic is very much necessary for success however, one also needs to be working in the right direction, and that "right direction" can often be an elusive one.

"Hard working people do well here, and has always been the case."
so the people who have a second job and don't do well are what? more than 1 in 10 teachers in the US have to rely on a second job income and that's but one example. Are they lazy? They are pretty educated, they are teachers. Should they have picked another profession? who would have been teachers then?

they don't succeed anywhere. what you don't get is that hard work is not enough to succeed and one would be retarded to claim otherwise. There are hard working poor people and they will remain poor no matter how hard they work.
