Republicans' next big play is to 'scare the hell out of Washington' by rewriting the Constitution. And they're willing to play the long game to win.
Republicans control 34 out of 50 state legislatures. That's 2/3. According to Article V, the Constitution says that a new Constitutional Convention could be called if 2/3 of the states agree to it. Big deal, you say? Remember, a Constitutional Convention is what created the US Constitution in the first place. Another could rewrite it in the Republicans' image.
We the People would have to allow that to happen. We've already proven that we're stupid enough to elect a con man to lead us.
I fear for my country.
The 2022 election (and those that follow) are far more important than we've been told. We need to stand firm against this Republican ruination of our country.
