I was in Portland last Fall and couldn't believe what had happened to that once-beautiful city. They were having some sort of weekend fair along the riverbank, which was nice.

But walk a few blocks inland, and the trash and homeless tents increase with every block. I walked through that long park that runs parallel to the river but a few blocks over (I forget what it's called) and it was genuinely scary. Aside from the popup homeless tents, there were obvious junkies all of the place. the benches were all either in disrepair, laced with graffiti, or both.

I once visited Portland when I was a kid and I remembered it as one of the nicest cities I'd ever seen. But now it seems like they've totally given on on any semblance of civilization once you get a few blocks from the river.

Sad.

I dont think Europeans have had enough of rampant immigration as yet/ Maybe in a couple years they might and put a stop to it.

Actually the last couple weeks there have been protests throughout the UK, Ireland, and France. Just the other day 100,000 people in England protested outside various migrant hotels....

Protests have been a norm over a year now. Not sure if they are having any effect

The difference is THESE protesters aren't hurting anyone or destroying property and setting fires to buildings and cars. PLUS...they have a legitimate reason to protest, unlike Antifa and BLM......

I'm in favor of raising taxes on the rich based on where they are now.

But the money is all going to be wasted if incompetent buffoons keep getting put in charge of these cities.
