Best Band - The Eagles
Best Singer - Charlie Daniels (this ought to get a interesting reaction)
Best Song Ever- Hotel California followed closely by Desperado

I'll hide under my desk now to avoid incoming flack ... what can I say, just a good ole country boy at heart (smiles)

I agree with you, I never tire of Hotel California...the 12 string alone is fantastic. But I must go with this song for lyrics, driving beat and dance performance. "Can't wait for the flack I get on this" rofl

“Billie Jean"

Jackson’s knack for irresistible beats shone on this, the third of nine No. 1 singles of the '80s. Musically, it’s blessed with a bridge that trumps everything else and the premise of the lyrics is decidedly nasty at times, which adds interest. His live performance of this song was mesmerising, certainly at his high water mark.

I know, I know....he is an idiot, too damned bad he went bonkers. Although not intelligent in any other matters, he was a musical genius. What a waste. Sad.

Ah, the Beatles?!?!?! The freakin' Beatles?!?!?!?!

My goodness... Morrisey could kick Lennon's behind an... an... what?... you mean dead like in, er, dead?!

I could argue some about Soul Brother Number 1, of course, but not the rest. Particularly the Eagles. They suck... except for the new kid in town 🙂

The Eagles suck???... prepare for wrestling combat my friend.... this is war (smiles)

New Kid in Town was one of their worst songs, maybe the worst (I don't count their new album, which to me is all bad)

Another good Eagles song... (smiles)

Ballads ... Harry Chapin comes to mind.

Would Arlo Guthrie's City of New Orleans be considered a ballad? I would think so ..

I'm sorry...

The Eagles are nothing but easy-listening songs, with crap lyrics... I may add, for 43 year old men in a mid-life crisis who think that driving around in a desert will solve all their woes.

Anybody ever listen to the Al Stewart ballards that never made the charts? Mostly historical stuff .. those were good.
