But, I just want to take a minute to spotlight these redacters… I mean… no wonder the release of the files took so long… if you had to redact 950.000 mentions of trump… my God, what a job.

I saw a transcript of Pam Bondi's Senate deposition/grilling earlier today, and I can tell you that half a century ago, the template was about the same:
"I'm damn well not going to answer the question as posed, but instead the question I would like to answer, in my own way, which I have prepared."
(Although back then it might have been more like: "Thank you for asking such an important question, Senator" -- followed by similar digressions that also completely avoided answering the question as posed.)
