I see it differently. The GOP (the party officials and bureaucrats and many of the elected office holders) did not want Trump as their candidate. Once elected, Priebus et al could not move fast enough to try and control him and that struggle continues to this day. The voters forced him down the GOP’s throats, they were stuck with him. At least the DNC was clever enough with their super delegates to make sure their voters could not force Sanders down their throats.

The Clinton Foundation is an organization for charitable giving.
Unlike the Trump Foundation which merely exists as a pocketbook for the Trump Organization, i.e. the Trump Family.
The "witch hunt" is what they did to Hillary Clinton, and now Joe Biden. Trump's political opponents.
