Bush pretends to be because it's politically expedient. Don't know about Blair -- but he doesn't seem to spout religious homilies in order to work a crowd nearly as much.

Don't know about fair, look what the self rightious basdards did to south america. Genocide if I ever heard it. For instance, forcing the natives to eat corn and such, creating a corn economy based on slave labor that is a lot more labor intensive than anything the Mayans had (not that the Mayans were especially peace loving flower throwers themselves but it was their culture till Montezuma showed up).
The problem with that corn deal was the old Mayan diet was much much better and the mayans and aztecs and tolmecs were basically starved. There was an article in Scientific American about the issue a couple years back. A shameful time in a lot of shameful times for the church.
I have a Mayan Daughter in law and so least there are still some around. Monte never did find those cities of gold, eh.
