Woke - definition: Aware of and actively attentive to important societal facts and issues. (Merriman-Webster dictionary)

You folks in MAGA circles throw around the term "woke" as if it's a cancer on the earth that will destroy us all. Please explain how being aware of important societal facts and issues is such a horrible thing. (Yes - this has been asked before, but I'm still waiting for a coherent answer)

It's a horrible thing if what one wants to do is re-make the world in one's own image. Now, do we know of anyone who would want to do that?
