I would describe it as something that has probably happened to us all. Being triggered by it shows childish desperation.
It is NOT something that has happened to us all but I take your point
(clumsily made that it is), that it is something that does happen.
However, whenever I, or anyone I know, have had to speak in public
or be somewhere where one is representing an organisation, one
takes the utmost care of ones appearance. One checks ones tie, dusts
off any fluff, checks shoes for scuff marks, checks fly! Everyone does this.
Now this man Trump is representing a country and a people - and he
can't be bothered to check or doesn't care about his appearance? That
is beyond funny, it is ridiculous.
We laughed at Kinnock tripping on the beach and Bush's mishaps, they
were funny accidents. With Trump we are ridiculing him. Big difference!
